FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: September 23, 2020
RIDGEFIELD, C.T. – Aimee Berger-Girvalo, Democratic candidate for Connecticut House of Representatives in the 111th District, today announced that she has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood Votes! Connecticut. Planned Parenthood Votes! Connecticut is committed to supporting and endorsing pro-reproductive health and rights candidates for state office. This announcement comes on the heels of an endorsement for Berger-Girvalo from NARAL Pro-Choice Connecticut.
“For years, I have been proud to fight alongside Planned Parenthood to protect reproductive rights and expand healthcare access, and I’m thrilled to have their support in my campaign,” said Berger-Girvalo. “With the increasing attacks on reproductive rights by Trump and the GOP and potential challenges faced in the Supreme Court, it’s critical that we elect pro-choice state leaders who will fight tooth and nail to protect abortion access, expand access to birth control, and strengthen our healthcare system in Connecticut – no matter what happens at the federal level. I’m ready to keep working alongside Planned Parenthood to ensure access to essential care for all.”
Aimee Berger-Girvalo is an advocate and dedicated community volunteer who has lived in Ridgefield for 15 years. She works in special education programs as an Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist, and for more than a decade, she has been the director and coach of the Ridgefield Holland Soccer program, a volunteer-run program that enables children with physical and learning differences to participate in the sport. Berger-Girvalo has raised her two children in Ridgefield, both attending public schools. Berger-Girvalo is running for State Representative in Connecticut’s 111th District.
