Berger-Girvalo Supports Kids, Parents, and Education

State Representative Aimee Berger-Girvalo works hard for Ridgefield’s kids, parents and education.

Most recently, she secured a $400,000 grant for ADA-compliant playgrounds at two of our elementary schools. She passed a bill assisting CT schools in upgrading their HVAC systems and ensured regular inspections and reporting on their operation. That means better air quality and healthier schools. Aimee is focused on what’s best for our kids.

The partnership between parents and school staff is at the heart of keeping schools accessible and supportive for all our children. Aimee Berger-Girvalo brought her experience as an RPS parent, her professional background in Applied Behavioral Analysis, and her BA in Developmental Disability Advocacy to her advocacy for HB 5001/SB 1, which provides grants so schools can hire more support staff, including for student mental health. This important legislation expanded needed mental health supports with grants for social workers, psychologists, and counselors, nurses, & school-based health centers, and ensured that our teachers would not be required teach online and in person simultaneously.

Aimee Berger-Girvalo is a committed and dedicated advocate for kids, parents, and education. We need her in Hartford, fighting for Ridgefield. Join me in voting to re-elect Aimee Berger-Girvalo for State Representative on November 8th.

Colleen Broderick, Ridgefield
